The NDIS continues to be in the spotlight with budget cuts and who will be eligible for becoming a participant.
The National Disability Insurance Scheme Amendment Bill looks to re-define who’s part of the NDIS, proving they’ve undergone ‘all forms of appropriate treatment’, including chemical restraint.
Chemical restraint is defined as the use of medication or chemical substance to influence a person’s behaviour.
Experts are concerned about the inclusion of this stipulation, Powerd Media’s Emma Myers starts the report with Monash University’s Dr Brent Hayward.
